Senior Trip to Dutch Maid Bakery

Williamson County Parks and Recreation’s Senior Division travels to charming Tracy City to visit the historic Dutch Maid Bakery on Thursday, August 14th. Originally started by John Baggenstoss in 1902, this Bakery is on the Tennessee Historic Registry for being the oldest, family owned bakery in Tennessee, and offers a wide variety of breads, sweet treats and fruitcakes. Upon arrival, participants will enjoy a hearty lunch of baked chicken, dressing, fruit salad, vegetables, drinks and dessert at the Dutch Maid’s restaurant. After lunch, we’ll tour the bakery! Don’t miss this wonderful afternoon.
The cost is $18.00 per person and is all inclusive. Check-in time the day of the trip begins at 8:00 a.m. with an estimated return time of 2:30 p.m. All transportation is provided by motor coach and will leave from the Franklin Recreation Complex located at 1120 Hillsboro Rd., Franklin. Space is limited!
To register, call 790-5719, ext. 10 beginning at 9:00 a.m. on or after the first registration date. You must speak with a receptionist in order to make a reservation. You may also register in person. Williamson County residents may register between July 25th and August 12th. Non-residents are welcome to register between July 30th and August 12th.
Reservations must be paid within 5 days of registration in order to be held. Payment may be received by mail, over the phone or in person (credit card purchases must be over $20.00 and will include a small processing fee) and are non-refundable after the final registration date; unless, the seat is filled from the waiting list. Participants may register up to 1 additional person for each trip.
