New professional theatre company launches in Franklin!
This month Franklin Theatre Fellowship announced their launch in our community! FTF is a non-profit, professional theatre company whose mission is to bring human beings together through the shared experience of live theatre. They strive to bring the kind of arts programming to our city that not only entertains an audience with excellence, but also challenges all of us to be a better community. “We believe that the telling of stories and the sharing of laughter, tears, songs, or powerful words helps us understand one another more fully. We’ve got a unique, new vision for high-quality, arts-based fellowship that includes things like free local hospitality at our shows (food, beverage, etc.), post-show conversations with cast and audience about themes that we can learn from, affordable and accessible arts training for all children in our area, and so much more.” Auditions are coming up in late April for their first production – the classic drama “Twelve Angry Jurors.” Some of the Nashville area’s finest and most well-recognized actors are already on the call sheet! Performances will be held in late July at the Roy E. Barberi Theatre in cool springs, with tickets on sale May 1. Visit www.ftfshows.org to learn more or follow them on social media!
