NASHVILLE, TN—October 1, 2024 – The Nashville Symphony’s November 2024 schedule features classical masterworks, live-to-film performances of The Nightmare Before Christmas; two Artist Spotlight Series performances; one-night-only engagements with Fran Lebowitz and R&B mega-star Dionne Warwick; a family concert for all types of animals; and a symphonic tribute to Genesis and Phil Collins. Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas in Concert

Experience Tim Burton’s delightfully wicked tale on the big screen with the Nashville Symphony performing Danny Elfman’s score live. Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concerto

Michael Francis opens his Nashville debut concert with American composer Carlos Simon’s exuberant interpretation of the rich energy and joyous scenery of a vibrant city block in Harlem. Dvořák’s Slavonic Dances are always a crowd pleaser, and pianist Natasha Paremski, known for her fiery and wildly dynamic approach to the Russian repertoire, joins for Rachmaninoff’s lush, romantic, and dramatic Second Piano Concerto. Guerrero Conducts Dvořák, Sibelius, and Shostakovich

The violinist and online sensation Ray Chen is the centerpiece of this concert, with his flashy rendition of Sibelius’s violin concerto. Giancarlo highlights the woodwinds in Dvořák’s joyous Carnival Overture and showcases the power and virtuosity of the entire orchestra in Shostakovich’s brooding Tenth Symphony. More information.
