Music City Turkey Trot fit for the whole family including four-legged members

The Nashville event will feature a first-ever “Doggie Dash”, as well as additional races for participants of all ages and paces

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Music City Turkey Trot, the original Nashville Thanksgiving Day running and walking event, has announced the addition of the new Doggie Dash to their 2024 event. Participants are invited to add on their four-legged friends at registration and take them along the course on race day. Canine participants of the Doggie Dash will be awarded their own medal, bib and doggie bandana to celebrate their accomplishments. Race day will feature a 1-mile course as well as a 5K course in the heart of Downtown Nashville, with both courses being dog and stroller-friendly. Registration for the 2024 event is currently open.

“We want to ensure that the Music City Turkey Trot is truly an event for the whole family, dogs and all,” said Malain McCormick, Owner and Operator of Run Nash, producer of the Music City Turkey Trot. “By introducing the Doggie Dash, we hope to create lasting memories for even more of our participants, and can’t wait to see everyone’s furry friends out on the course.”

Race day will kick off at Nissan Stadium, home of the Tennessee Titans, and journey through iconic areas of Nashville, including over Gateway Bridge and loops back to Nissan Stadium. Participants will receive a Music City Turkey Trot finisher medal and a complimentary long-sleeve event tee. The event will also feature a costume competition, awarding the top three winners apple pies to add to their holiday spread.

The 2024 Music City Turkey Trot will be supporting Nurture the Next, a local charity with the mission to support parents and the communities where they live in creating loving homes that make children feel nurtured. Today, they provide in-home parenting support in 30 counties in Tennessee and offer several statewide programs.
