MERIDIAN COOL SPRINGS EVOLUTION ADVANCES WITH TWO RESTAURANT BUILDINGS, INTERACTIVE OUTDOOR SPACE NOW UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Boyle Investment Co. Ushers in 90th Year with Community-Minded Enhancements to Longstanding Mixed-Use District
FRANKLIN, Tennessee—The 60-acre Meridian Cool Springs development that helped establish Cool Springs as a destination district nearly 15 years ago is continuing its evolution with the addition of two new restaurant buildings and an amenity-rich, public green space near its entrance. Site construction began in late September at the property on Carothers Parkway, and is anticipated to be complete by late spring.
Home to a diverse blend of retail, restaurant, hospitality, and personal and professional services that complement more than 900,000 square feet of office space, Boyle Investment Company is utilizing Meridian Cool Springs’ enviable acreage in creative new ways to further establish the district as a can’t-miss destination.
“What we’ve seen in the market is that people — restaurant and retail patrons, office workers and tenants — are seeking the same thing, and that’s community,” said Mark Traylor, Director of Retail at Boyle. “Whether you’re a guest at a hotel, a restaurant or a spa customer, or you come to work at Meridian every day, we’re creating places where people can have positive experiences.”
“We were fortunate to be one of the first mixed-use developers to begin creating spaces that attracted a diverse group of retail and office tenants 15 years ago with Meridian Cool Springs, and to be in a position to leverage that early success with our other mixed-use projects like Berry Farms, Capitol View, and McEwen Northside that have also become destination districts.”
The two new freestanding restaurant buildings — a 1,400 square feet jewel box and a 4,700 square feet restaurant, respectively — will be connected by a nearly 5,000 square-foot public green featuring casual furniture and extensive landscape, hardscape and lighting elements that invite people to gather day and night.
“This formal open space will allow us to stage live music, movies, and other events year-round,” says Grant Kinnett, Retail Leasing Lead at Boyle. “Cool Springs is one of the strongest sub-markets in Middle Tennessee, and with these next phases, we are excited to further our longstanding mission for Meridian — to build and foster community.”
In addition to these new offerings, community members will see continued enhancements to Meridian’s state-of-the-art office and green spaces in future phases as the Boyle team strengthens the district to create even more unique experiences for all who visit.
