Lifeguards Needed – Training Provided

Looking for a summer job? Like to swim? Consider becoming a lifeguard for the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department. A lifeguard training class will be held April 21st through May 10th at the new Longview Recreation Center at Spring Hill. The class will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5pm to 9pm and Saturdays from 9am to 5pm. The registration fee of $100 includes complete classroom training and materials, water training, pocket mask and required certifications. Candidates who successfully complete the training class and who are chosen for employment by WCPR may qualify for a refund of the registration fee. Participants must be 15 years of age on or before the final day of the course.
A swim test will be administered at the first class. Participants must pass the swim test to take the certification course. The test includes a 300-yard swim, mastery of various strokes and successful rescue/retrieval.
