LIFEGUARD TRAINING OFFERED
Certification Classes Begin in February
The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department has part-time lifeguard positions available year-round and for the summer outdoor swim season in Franklin, TN, Brentwood, TN, Fairview, Spring Hill and Nolensville. Schedules are flexible, and wages are competitive. Hiring for summer staff will begin April 2, 2018.
The positions require Red Cross Lifeguard and CPR/AED certification. Training courses for required certifications will be offered by Williamson County Parks and Recreation on the following dates: February 17-March 3; March 24-29; or April 21-May 5 ($125). All courses are open to the public, and students must be 15 years of age on or before the final day of the course.
The “Early Bird” training class ($125) will be February 17-March 3 on Monday and Wednesday evenings and all day on Saturdays at the Indoor Sports Complex (ISC), 920 Heritage Way in Brentwood. In-person registration is Saturday, January 27 at noon at the ISC.
The “Spring Break” training class ($125) will be Saturday, March 24 and March 26-29 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at two locations: the Indoor Sports Complex (ISC), 920 Heritage Way in Brentwood; and the Longview Recreation Center at Spring Hill, 2909 Commonwealth Dr. In-person registration for this session is Saturday, March 3 at noon at both locations.
The “Last Chance” training class ($125) will be April 21-May 5 on Monday and Wednesday evenings and all day on Saturdays at two locations: the Indoor Sports Complex (ISC), 920 Heritage Way in Brentwood; and the Longview Recreation Center at Spring Hill, 2909 Commonwealth Dr. In-person registration for this session is Saturday, March 31 at noon at both locations.
