Lifeguard Training Classes

The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to offer comprehensive lifeguard training in March, April and May of 2009 at two system facilities. Registration takes place at the center where the class is being held and must be made in person. Participants must be 15 years of age on or before the final day of the course. A pre-course swim test will be given.
Upon successful completion of the course, three American Red Cross certifications are awarded: Lifeguard Training with First Aid (good for three years), CPR for the professional rescuer (good for 1 year), and Adult/Child AED Essentials (good for 1 year). CPR and Lifeguard re-certification are also being offered.
CLASS SCHEDULE:
Lifeguard Training Class: March 7-28, Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Cost: $100. Registration begins Sat. Feb. 7, 12:00 noon. Indoor Sports Complex, 920 Heritage Way, Brentwood, 370-3471, ext. 22.
