Hot Air Balloon Festival illuminates Westhaven for Mercy Community Healthcare

Five hot air balloons illuminated Westhaven at dusk during the Franklin Hot Air Balloon Festival Saturday. The family-friendly event drew thousands to watch the colorful balloons inflate and illuminate the banks of the lake with its reflection aglow.

Multiple food trucks such as CoCo’s Italian, Banh Mi & Roll Factory, The Brother’s Burger, as well as, Southern Jerky Co. and live music filled the afternoon with entertainment and sights for all ages.

About 5,500 spectators lounged on blankets with friends and family around the lake at Westhaven, while getting an up-close view while the balloons fired its burners.
