High Hopes & Hops

High Hopes Development Center is a local non-profit that has been equipping children and youth, with and without special needs, to reach their maximum potential for over 30 years with two programs.  The center offers an inclusive preschool, where children who are typically-developing make up 60% of their enrollment and 40% have a diagnosed special need ranging from developmental delays, Down syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder to rare chromosomal disorders.  There is also an on-site pediatric therapy clinic providing physical, occupational, speech and feeding therapies. Last year alone, more than 550 children and youth were served.

Guests noshed on food donated by Amerigo Italian Restaurant and enjoyed two pints of Yazoo’s finest beers, all included in the ticket price. Event chairs Ricky and Lori Scott put together an incredible silent auction with items including a guitar signed by Luke Bryan and a towel from The Masters golf tournament signed by Brandt Snedeker, an attendee along with wife, Mandy. Auction and ticket proceeds contributed to the over $12,000 raised at the event to further the mission of High Hopes Development Center.  Sponsors for the annual event were Hand Family Companies, The Brandt and Mandy Snedeker Foundation, The Kingston Group, Uncle Classic Barber, 360 Junior Golf, Ben & Gail Powell, and an anonymous donor.

About High Hopes Development Center

High Hopes Development Center offers a specialized approach to serving children with special needs and chronic diseases.  We accomplish this unique service through our pediatric therapy clinic and inclusive preschool.  High Hopes is the only preschool in Williamson County with an on-site pediatric therapy clinic. In addition, High Hopes is the only child care provider in Williamson County equipped to serve children with a plethora of special needs so that parents can work, and at the same time, ensure their child is receiving the quality therapeutic care, educational enrichment, and emotional support needed.  High Hopes’ approach to early intervention is a proactive philosophy of serving children at a younger age, to increase growth potential and reduce the future need for reactive services.  The mission of High Hopes is to equip children and youth with the skills necessary to achieve success through education, rehabilitation, and loving support.
