Get Your Ducks in a Row!
Don’t miss this amazing moment in sports history as a flood of yellow ducks invades the Harpeth River! Last year over 6,000 ducks competed for some amazing prizes, and several exceptional ducks swam faster and harder for their chance to win a prize! This year the prizes are even bigger and better than before, as more than 10,000 race to the finish.
It’s that time of year again! The New Hope Academy Duck Race!!! The event, sponsored by the several businesses in the community, will be held Saturday, September 20th at Pinkerton Park from 11:30 a.m. til 2:00 p.m.
The actual Duck Race will take place on the Harpeth River at 12:30 p.m. and will last as long as it takes the ducks to paddle to the finish line at the pedestrian bridge.
Members of the community and local businesses can adopt a duck for just $5 each or $20 for a flock of five. If the participant’s duck is one of the first ten through the chute at the end of the race, they can consider themselves one lucky duck and will be rewarded with great prizes!
This unique event benefits New Hope Academy, a Christ-centered community school with an economically, racially, and culturally diverse student body. Of the 220 students enrolled, 50% receive full or partial scholarships, and single moms are the heads of household for a third of the children.
The Duck Race is a great way for residents of Franklin and Williamson County to support our community’s children while enjoying a fun-filled afternoon, an exciting race, and PRIZES!
