Join us at 9 a.m. to visit area fitness vendors and organizations, participate in workout demonstrations, and register for door prizes. To register, go to http://www.planetReg.com/getfitfranklinMay3.
There is no cost to participate in Get Fit Franklin and groups of all sizes and ages are welcome. Participants who have already registered for the program and received their t-shirts and pedometers will receive another special gift. New participants are welcome and will receive a special bag designed to get them started.
Among the organizations set to participate as vendors are Quest Fitness, BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, Vanderbilt Health, Aegis Healthcare, Mercy Community Healthcare, Elements Massage, the Wiliamson County Health Department and several others.
Vanderbilt Health is the sponsor of Get Fit Franklin’s quarterly events.
An added benefit for participants and new registrants in Get Fit Franklin is Aegis Health Group, in conjunction with Mercy Community Healthcare, Westhaven, and Franklin Tomorrow,
on May 3 will be offering free, confidential health surveys coupled with biometric health screenings to event attendees
that will only take about 10 minutes to complete. Due to time limitations, the screenings will be limited to the first 75 participants present that day.
Those who were screened at the March 1 Get Fit Franklin event are not eligible for rescreening at this time.
Through OneCommunity, an online health portal offered by Aegis Health Group, participants can then view their personal health report. OneCommunity offers a password-protected view to their personal health profile including health risks and customized content outlining areas for improvement with recommended activities to achieve better health.
Participants will have access to their personalized Website on OneCommunity that also enables them to track and monitor their health habits, like diet and exercise activities, for one year.
