Franklin Special District Invites Families to February 27 Open House
Franklin, TN — Families who are new to the area, considering a move, exploring a school change, or simply wanting to learn more about their local public schools are invited to attend Franklin Special District’s Prospective Family Open House on Friday, February 27.
All FSD schools will host open house events during the school day, giving prospective parents and students the opportunity to see each campus in action and experience the district’s exceptional teaching and learning environments firsthand.
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet principals, tour school buildings, visit classrooms, and learn more about each school’s academic programs, related arts, enrichment opportunities, and extracurricular offerings.

9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

- Moore Elementary School
In addition, the district’s Performing Arts Center, 1030 Excellence Way, will be open for tours from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Families will see how FSD emphasizes the whole child through strong academics as well as instruction in fine arts (general music and art), related arts (physical education and computer science), and performing arts opportunities including chorus, theater, and dance.
The Prospective Family Open House is designed to showcase the many ways Franklin Special District serves students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Guests will observe how curriculum is thoughtfully paced to provide every student with opportunities for success and how teachers prioritize building meaningful relationships while creating experiences that last a lifetime.
Enrollment Information
Families who live outside Franklin Special District boundaries are also welcome to apply. FSD offers a tuition-based enrollment option and welcomes students from out-of-district and nearby counties.
