Three-year-old Lakelyn is greeted by Anna and Elsa during a wish reveal party hosted by The Gardner School of Franklin.

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (July 23, 2024)— On July 19, The Gardner School of Franklin hosted a special wish reveal celebration for Lakelyn, a local three-year-old child who will soon be traveling to Walt Disney World Resort thanks to Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee.

Students and staff dressed up as their favorite characters in a show of solidarity and support for Lakelyn and her family, who live in Maury County, Tennessee.

Lakelyn’s favorite Disney character, Elsa, made a surprise appearance at the event along with Elsa’s younger sister, Anna, to sing, perform, and read aloud about their adventures in Arendelle.

“Everyone at TGS Franklin was so eager to meet Lakelyn and her family,” said Karina Cadiz, The Gardner School of Franklin’s Executive School Director. “It was such a privilege to be a part of her special day and to see her react to her wish reveal with such delight and excitement.”

“Celebrations like these are a wonderful opportunity for our students to experience the joy of treating others with compassion and kindness,” said Tammy Robinson, The Gardner School’s Chief Operating Officer. “That’s just one of the countless reasons we’re honored to work with Make-A-Wish chapters across the country to support their life-changing work.”

As part of its commitment to connect children to their communities, The Gardner School’s family of academic preschools has pledged to donate $37,000 to Make-A-Wish chapters in 2024 for a total of more than $170,000 in contributions since partnering with the foundation over ten years ago.

Located at 131 Market Exchange Court near the intersection of Bakers Bridge and Carothers Parkway, The Gardner School of Franklin offers year-round full-time and part-time early childhood education programs for students six weeks through five years old and is accredited by the NAEYC.
