Fountains of Franklin brings Christmas market to senior community

The Fountains of Franklin Senior Living Community recently hosted its third annual Holiday Market, Music and Munchies.

Upon entering the building, onlookers were greeted by a life-sized cardboard cutout of Matthew McConaughey wearing a Santa hat. Booths with items such as handmade jewelry and children’s books lined the first floor of the building where vendors helped senior residents and members of the community to find presents for their loved ones.

Stepping out of the elevator onto the second floor, guests were also met with an overwhelming sense of the holiday season including tunes from a swing band, a sprawling buffet of refreshments, and a towering Christmas tree glowing in the corner.

“This event is our gift to the community,” said Community Relations Director Ricki Keckley.

“We wanted to integrate the community with our residents and welcome them into our home. It also gives our residents who have difficulty getting out an opportunity to Christmas shop.”

The Fountains of Franklin Senior Living Community is located at 300 Celebration Circle in Franklin. For more information call 615-567-3717 or visit www.fountainssrliving.com.
