“As the EEOG continues to grow, our gala ensures that we have financial support to develop more engaging and enriching programs,” George Thomas, President and Founder of the EEOG states. “This is the fourteenth gala, and every year has been better than the one before. The proceeds benefit the educational programs the EEOG offers for students to succeed in their future.”
This year’s Gala is cocktail attire, and includes a three-course meal, silent auction and open wine bar. Students will share their personal testimonies of the impact their involvement with the EEOG has had on their day-to-day academic and personal life. During the gala Lawrence V. Jackson will be honored for his unyielding support of the EEOG as the 2017 Pioneer Award Recipients. Lawrence V. Jackson currently serves as a Senior Advisor at New Mountain capital, LLC and has donated not only monetarily but also volunteered many hours of his time to the EEOG.
The EEOG takes great pride in creating a positive, equal opportunity for students who may come from disadvantaged, underserved, low-income families or have limited resources readily available to them. They firmly believe that early and consistent exposure to their desired fields of study/professionals of interest will further encourage and motivate these young students to sharpen key skills for their success.
