Brentwood to hold Arbor Day celebration to recognize love of trees

The City of Brentwood’s Tree Board will hold its annual Arbor Day celebration on Saturday, April 2, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Brentwood Library.

The Saturday festival will include many activities and displays for children and adults including face painting, free hotdogs provided by Middle Tennessee Electric, free seedlings, guided tours of the Library Arboretum, displays by tree-related vendors, and of course, a fun visit from the Brentwood Fire and Rescue.

During the 11:30 a.m. Arbor Day program, winners of the art poster contest for third and sixth graders attending Brentwood area schools will be recognized. The winning posters are currently on display at the Brentwood Library through the end of March. This contest is sponsored by Wells Fargo Advisors. Prize ribbons are donated by Prestige Trophies.
