Youth Advisory Council raises money for local charities in style

Teens of Williamson County participated in a prom-inspired fashion show Saturday as part of the United Way Youth Advisory Committee (YAC), benefitting nonprofit organizations in the county.

Students modeled the latest trends in teen formal wear this spring including dresses and suits donning the popular the colors of royal blue, coral and plenty of springy pastels.

The show, sponsored by Belk and CoolSprings Galleria, was held at the Belk department store.

The 2016 Spring & Prom Fashion Show is one of the main annual fundraisers for YAC, the teen outreach portion of United Way.

Every Williamson County high school offers YAC clubs and is offered at several private high schools.

YAC teens make a difference in the community by getting involved in service projects and raising money for charitable organizations.
