Black Tie Affair
Enjoy a night of celebration and dance at the Seventh Annual "Black Tie Affair," hosted by the African-American Heritage Society. The event takes place on Friday, February 1st at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Cool Springs (Franklin, TN).
This year’s event will celebrate prominent Williamson County athletes and the contributions they have made locally as well as nationally. Tickets are $50 per person, or $500 for a table of ten. The Black Tie Affair begins with a cocktail hour at 6pm; the evening’s program, including dinner and entertainment will begin at 7pm.
"This event is always a fun and exciting celebration and a great way to kick off Black History Month," stated Alma McLemore, Chairperson for the Black Tie. She continued, "It’s always a pleasure to honor people in our community for the contributions they’ve made."
Sponsorship opportunities are still available at every level for the Black Tie Affair, an event which has sold out every year. All proceeds benefit the educational programs of the African American Heritage Society as well maintenance of the McLemore House Museum (the first African American history museum in Franklin).
The African-American Heritage society is a non-profit organization committed to collecting, preserving, and interpreting artifacts pertaining to the Williamson County African-American culture for present and future generations.
