Battle of Franklin Trust Hosts Eight Annual Bootlegger’s Bash
Franklin event features Southern fare, local whiskey and live entertainment
FRANKLIN, Tenn. – The Battle of Franklin Trust will host its eighth annual Bootlegger’s Bash on Friday, Sept. 28 at 6:30 p.m. at Carnton. The annual event invites guests to celebrate Williamson County’s unique history of bootlegging with a casual evening featuring Tennessee distillers, a traditional Southern dinner and live entertainment featuring Chad Street Band.
This year’s event offers a tasting-only ticket for those who are unable to stay for dinner. All proceeds from this ticketed event are donated to the Battle of Franklin Trust and its efforts to preserve the springhouse at Carnton.
“Bootlegger’s Bash is an exciting event at Carnton and every year we attract a lively crowd to celebrate the bootlegging history of Tennessee,” said Jayde Smith, event coordinator at The Battle of Franklin Trust. “Guests will enjoy an entertaining evening with dinner, whiskey tasting and a live band.”
Dinner will feature a whole hog roast and other traditional Southern fare. Local Tennessee distilleries will provide whiskey tastings, such as Heath Clark, Leipers Fork Distillery, Corsair Artisans, Tenn South, Prichard’s Distillery, members of the Associated Distillers of Tennessee and more to be announced. Community co-chairs for this event are long-time Trust supporters Leigh Bawcom, Bess and Tim Kearns.
Tickets are required and must be purchased in advance online at www.boft.org. Tasting tickets are $35 per person, which includes all tastings from local distillers.
