Nashville, TN – Franklin-based Barefoot Republic is preparing to host their 17th Annual Fall Fundraiser this coming Tuesday, September 26. For the third year in a row, Barefoot Republic supporter Amy Grant is opening her farm in Franklin to host the event.
The special evening, which will be held from 5:30pm – 8:30pm, will include dinner and fellowship, a silent auction and a wine wall. Throughout the night attendees will hear inspiring stories, youth performances, and live music from Amy Grant.
Founded in 2000, Barefoot Republic is a camp and retreat center intentionally uniting students from diverse, racial, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. During this past summer alone, more than 2,000 campers and staff participated in 18 camp sessions – day and overnight – across Tennessee, Kentucky and California. Additionally, 70% of campers received partial or full scholarships to attend camp, and $525,000 was awarded to these campers. It is Barefoot Republic’s mission that not one child will ever be turned away because of an inability to pay. To continue to help support these campers, this annual fundraiser, as well as partnerships with other ministries throughout middle Tennessee, is so important in the year-round mission of Barefoot Republic’s scholarship fund.
