Alan Jackson Donates Yard Sale
Superstar and longtime auto enthusiast Alan Jackson is lending his name and opening his heart – and his garage – in support of the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Homes’ 6th Annual Car/Truck/Motorcycle Show this Saturday, April 21.
Part of this year’s activities will include the Alan Jackson Yard Sale, featuring a wide array of car parts from 1923 through 2007, as well as selected household items and furniture, all on display and for sale, with proceeds benefiting the home.
Among the multitude of yard sale items to entice the savvy road warrior are four custom 1966 Cadillac wire wheels with tires, a Hummer H-2 roof rack, four aluminum wheels with tires from an Aston Martin, a Harley Davidson windshield, a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission, motorcycle helmets, and a bevy of parts for Toyota, Ford, Chevrolet, Land Rover, and more. Attendees can also purchase a selection of household items including bedding, furniture, and electronics.
With free admission, the event kicks off at 8 a.m. at 1310 Franklin Rd, in Brentwood, Tenn. In addition to the yard sale, the day’s activities will include a judging competition for the vintage vehicles on display, with various car clubs on site, a climbing wall for the kids, games, rides, and food.
Proceeds from the event will fund various functions of the home, including their summer program of field trips and activities, both educational and recreational. A 501(c)(3) charity supported by various Baptist churches in the area as well as through private donations, the home currently offers full support to more than two dozen children of varying ages.
