Franklin’s Finest Wine Event is back! The eighth annual A Vintage Affair (AVA) will be held the week of April 14 through 18. Join AVA for a week of good wine and good food to benefit charitable organizations in Williamson County.
A Vintage Affair is an organization whose mission is to provide a significant financial contribution to a nonprofit organization whose services benefit the community at large. All funds contributed to the nonprofit organizations are designated for programs to support the well-being of women and children of need in Williamson County.
To date, A Vintage Affair has contributed more than five hundred thousand dollars to worthy organizations in Williamson County. The beneficiaries have included Mercy Children’s Clinic, The 100 Club of Franklin, BRIDGES, The Williamson County Child Advocacy Center, the Williamson County Library Foundation, and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Williamson Medical Center.
The success of this grand event has allowed for three beneficiaries this year: the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Williamson Medical Center, the Williamson County Library Foundation, and Williamson County Youth, Inc.
Each year, A Vintage Affair holds events all week, culminating in the Main Event, which draws more than 800 people. The first event will be held Monday, April 14 at 6:00pm at the Bunganut Pig in Franklin. Reds, Whites, and Blues at the Bunganut Pig, presented by Fifth Third Bank, is a four-course dinner paired with Todd Anderson’s incredible Ghost Horse wines. On Tuesday, April 15, Community First Bank & Trust will host the Robledo Vintner Dinner at Sol Restaurant in downtown Franklin. This event will pair authentic Mexican cuisine with wines from the Robledo Family Winery. Reservations for each of these two events are limited, may be purchased online, and are $100 per person.
TLC Medical Oxygen and Hospital Equipment is proud to be the presenting sponsor for Vintage Champagne and Vintage Country Music at Green’s Grocery in Historic Leiper’s Fork on Wednesday, April 16. Guests will certainly enjoy this event, which features The Homer Dever Band and their unique style of country music. Horizon Wine & Spirits has graciously provided the beverages for this evening. Guests will have the opportunity to taste the fabulous MoÑ‘t & Chandon White Star champagne supplied by MoÑ‘t Hennessey, beer in vintage bottles provided by Ajax Turner, wines provided by Constellation Brands, as well as fine cuisine presented by Stoney River restaurant. Reservations for Vintage Champagne and Vintage Country Music are limited, may be purchased online, and are $100 per person.
Meet the Vintner is an annual favorite. This year, it will be held on Thursday, April 17 from 6-9pm at Lillie Belle’s on 3rd Avenue South in downtown Franklin. This black-tie optional Meet the Vintner party, presented by Tennessee Bank & Trust, offers the chance to meet Todd Anderson of Anderson’s Conn Valley Vineyards, Vanessa Robledo of Robledo Family Winery, Michael Honig of Honig Vineyard and Winery, and Kip Summers of Arrington Vineyards. Each vintner will bring his or her finest wines. Guests will enjoy learning about these wines while tasting exceptional cuisine by Sperry’s restaurant. Reservations for Meet the Vintner are limited, may also be purchased online, and are $250 per person. This price includes reservations to both events on Friday, April 18.
Tennessee Bank & Trust will also present the Sommelier Preview Party and Main Event on Friday April 18. The Sommelier Preview Party will be held in the courtyard outside Jamison Hall from 5:30- 7 pm. It will feature fine cigars courtesy of CAO, special wine tastings, champagne, and hors d’oeuvres provided by Saffire restaurant. At 7 pm, the doors open for the Main Event featuring numerous wine tasting stations, several fabulous food stations and many wonderful live and silent auction items to bid on, including hundreds of desirable wines. The Main Event is $60 per person with an additional $40 per person to attend the Sommelier Preview Party. Reservations may be purchased online or at the door. There is a $10 additional charge to purchase reservations at the door.
