A Vintage Affair 2008

Franklin’s Finest Wine Event is back!  The eighth annual A Vintage Affair (AVA) will be held the week of April 14 through 18.  Join AVA for a week of good wine and good food to benefit charitable organizations in Williamson County.

A Vintage Affair is an organization whose mission is to provide a significant financial contribution to a nonprofit organization whose services benefit the community at large.  All funds contributed to the nonprofit organizations are designated for programs to support the well-being of women and children of need in Williamson County.

To date, A Vintage Affair has contributed more than five hundred thousand dollars to worthy organizations in Williamson County.  The beneficiaries have included Mercy Children’s Clinic, The 100 Club of Franklin, BRIDGES, The Williamson County Child Advocacy Center, the Williamson County Library Foundation, and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Williamson Medical Center.

The success of this grand event has allowed for three beneficiaries this year:  the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Williamson Medical Center, the Williamson County Library Foundation, and Williamson County Youth, Inc.

Each year, A Vintage Affair holds events all week, culminating in the Main Event, which draws more than 800 people.  The first event will be held Monday, April 14 at 6:00pm at the Bunganut Pig in Franklin.  Reds, Whites, and Blues at the Bunganut Pig, presented by Fifth Third Bank, is a four-course dinner paired with Todd Anderson’s incredible Ghost Horse wines.  On Tuesday, April 15, Community First Bank & Trust will host the Robledo Vintner Dinner at Sol Restaurant in downtown Franklin.  This event will pair authentic Mexican cuisine with wines from the Robledo Family Winery.  Reservations for each of these two events are limited, may be purchased online, and are $100 per person.
