2008 Williamson County Fair

2008 WILLIAMSON COUNTY FAIR SET FOR AUGUST 1ST – 9TH
Celebrate America at the 2008 Williamson County Fair presented by Tractor Supply Company, August 1st – 9th at the Williamson County Ag Expo Park! This year’s event is “A Red, White and Blue Ribbon Fair” packed with nine days of food and fun for all ages! This year’s fair has it all . . . from Grand Ole’ Country to Elvis, mule pulls to merlots, farm life to 5Ks.
Fair hours are: August 1st, 5pm-midnight; August 2nd, 9am-midnight; August 3rd (Senior Day), 11am-midnight; August 4th – 7th, 5pm-11pm; August 8th, 5pm-midnight; and August 9th (Patriot Day), 9am-midnight.
Regular admission to the fair is $5 in advance, $6 at the gate. Children ages 6 – 12 are $2 in advance, $3 at the gate. Children ages 5 and under are free. Advance tickets will be on sale after July 1st at Tractor Supply Company and Daily’s convenience stores. Nine day general admission passes are avaliable (at the gate only) for $30 for adults and $15 for children ages 6-12. Credit cards are not accepted at the fair ticket booths. Cash only.
The midway and rides are open during all fair hours and feature the 145 foot Mega Drop, the Seattle Wheel, the Cyclops, lon and 90 foot super slide. Unlimited rides passes are available on August 2nd – August 7th for $25 per person. Discounted ride coupon books are also available each day and ride tickets are not included in fair admission. Parking is free and a shuttle service is available.
Area residents are also invited to show off their skills and talents in over 900 areas of competition including livestock, photography, barbecue cooking, pageants, needlework, baking, painting and field crops. Over $105,000 in premium awards are being offered at the 2008 fair. Premium catalogues with entry information are available at the Ag Expo Park, the Williamson County Mayor’s office, County Recreation Centers and the Williamson County Public Library and community branches.
