Third Annual Williamson County Fair
The Williamson County Fair, presented by Tractor Supply Company, is back and bigger than ever. Mark your calendars for August 3-11 and be sure and get a group together for entertainment like you have never seen before, all conveniently located at the Williamson County Ag Expo Center. Enjoy unlimited rides for only $10.00 on opening night (5 p.m.-12 midnight) and take advantage of Saturday specials where rides are $1 each from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be additional ride and admission specials throughout the event so make sure and check the website for details at http://www.williamsoncountyfair.org.
The Fair continues to offer a variety of events providing something for everyone. There will be more carnival rides than last year, great food, live music on three stages, free hands on activities for kids, competitions, new hands-on exhibits, and all kinds of animals-barnyard to exotic. Dave Crouch, Fair Chairman, explains that they are also really excited this year about the arena being air conditioned and FREE parking. The free parking, provided by McArthur Sanders Real Estate, will save guests money, as well as time, by expediting the parking process and getting people onto the Fairgrounds more quickly.
There will be live entertainment all week long from the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest on Friday, Aug. 3 to the fabulous Beatle tribute Band "Beatlemania Now" performing on Friday Aug. 10. Kids will love the Ultimate Air Dogs, Racing Pigs (Ducks and Chickens), two petting zoos which include traditional barnyard animals to more exotic types like zebras, camels and more, and of course the old standard the "Little Ones Farming Exhibit." In the exhibit children follow the farming process from start to finish, planting a seed to taking it to market, milking a cow along the way.
Two other exhibits to note are the new BioTN Life Science Exhibit and the much loved
Crouch invites everyone "to come out and have a good time, there will be something you like!" Check the schedule first, find your ride or admission special that suits and make plans to enjoy the Williamson County Fair, "small town feel, big town fun!"
