About Tennessee Alliance for Kids (TAK)

Tennessee Alliance for Kids (TAK) meets essential needs to comfort children, empower youth, and offer hope to families impacted by foster care in Tennessee. Established in 2016, TAK connects community partners and volunteers to provide practical support for foster, kinship, and biological families.

TAK fulfills its mission through three core programs: TAK PAKS, backpacks filled with essential and comfort items for children entering care; TAK FosterLove, which sends new, critical items directly to vulnerable children; and TAK Celebrations, which brings moments of joy to kids in foster care and youth who have aged out of the system.

Based in Nashville, TAK serves CASA Nashville, the Midwest and Mid-State regions of the Department of Children’s Services (DCS), the DCS Office of Independent Living, Jonathan’s Path, and Tennessee Baptist Children’s Homes.
