Friends of the Brentwood Library Winter Book Sale Returns January 23–25

The Friends of the Brentwood Library (FOBL) will hold its winter book sale this week at the John P. Holt Brentwood Library, with doors open to the public January 23 – 25.

The sale features around 15,000 books and related items, including hundreds of best- selling authors, literary classics, mysteries, biographies, and a huge selection of nonfiction to keep readers cozy and entertained this winter. In particular, shoppers won’t want to miss FOBL’s “Friends Recommends” display, which highlights some of the most popular and well-loved recently published books.

Items for sale also include a huge selection of classic and award-winning children’s story books and chapter books, as well as hundreds of titles for teens. In addition, nearly 300 puzzles and games for all ages, as well as popular DVDs, CDs, and teaching aids, are available. All items are gently used and in good condition. Adult hardback books are just $3 apiece, while paperbacks are $2 or less. Children’s titles are $2 and $1, respectively.

Public sale hours are Friday, January 23, from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm; Saturday, January 2,4 from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm; and Sunday, January 25 from 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm. On Sunday, every remaining item will be half price or less.

FOBL members can shop early on Thursday, January 22, from 2:00 pm – 5:30 pm, and new FOBL members are welcome to sign up at the door. Proceeds from the donation-based sale provide ongoing support for library services and community programs that are at the heart of FOBL’s mission.

Please note: FOBL is monitoring the potential winter storm forecast this weekend and how it may affect the book sale. We’ll post any adjustments on our website (www.fobltn.org).

The Friends of the Brentwood Library is a non-profit, 501(c)3 service-oriented group with over 500 members dedicated to the advancement of the local community through its library. FOBL also maintains an Amazon site at www.amazon.com/shops/friendsbooksters and a book sale shop on eBay at www.ebay.com/str/friendsofbrentwoodlibrary, both of which offer sales throughout the year.
