Meet Ben Franklin and Walk Through History in Franklin, Tennessee

Part of Franklin’s Ben on the Bench Unveiling and Celebration

Franklin, Tennessee: Franklin Walking Tours will host Ben Franklin (portrayed by interpreter Tony Rollo) for a fun-filled visit with one of our nation’s founding fathers on Saturday, January 17th, at 3:00pm.

Young explorers, history lovers, and patriots are invited to meet Mr. Franklin, IN Franklin. It will feel like stepping back in time as attendees take this special walking tour with “Ben Franklin” himself. He will tell guests about his life, travels, inventions, and how his ideas helped shape our world — all in an interactive, kid-friendly way.

“Ben” will be in Franklin for the festivities surrounding the unveiling of the Ben on the Bench statue downtown earlier in the day. Franklin Walking Tours is proud to be a part of the celebration by hosting this visit with him. Families will have a chance to ask Mr. Franklin questions and even take pictures together.

As part of the event, Franklin resident, preservationist, and historian Pamela Lewis will debut her two new books about Benjamin Franklin. Normally $20, copies will be available for $15 that day from the tour guide.

Tour tickets sell for $15 per child (under 1 free), and $30 per teen and adult age 13 and older. This includes walking tour, visit with Ben, and photo opportunity.
