Williamson County Library Launches Free Discovery Passes with Library Card

If you don’t already have a library card, here’s another great reason to get one. Starting September 2nd, the Williamson County Public Library will introduce Discovery Passes, a brand-new way to explore local attractions for free.

Just like checking out a book, cardholders can borrow a Discovery Pass for seven days, use it for free admission at a partner institution, and then return it to the library. The program launches with the Moore-Morris History & Culture Center in downtown Franklin, the first permanent space to present Williamson County’s comprehensive history through interactive exhibits.

And this is just the beginning, with more community partners to be added soon, expanding opportunities to experience local history, culture, gardens, and more throughout Williamson County and beyond.

September is also Library Card Sign-Up Month, the perfect time to join or renew. In addition to borrowing books, your library card opens the door to e-books, audiobooks, research tools, streaming services, and now free admission to cultural and historical destinations.
