Taking Care: An Alzheimer’s Documentary Screening and Community Discussion

East Brentwood Presbyterian Church (9000 Concord Road/Brentwood at the corner of Wilson Pike and Concord) invites the community to a screening of “Taking Care” on June 8, 2025 at 5 PM. The short documentary follows the journey of acclaimed filmmakers Seth Rogen and Lauren Miller Rogen as they navigate the complexities and heartbreak of Lauren’s mother’s advancing Alzheimer’s disease. It is a story told with humor and heart that inspires individuals to seek solutions to one of the most challenging and pervasive diseases facing families today.

“This film is a part of us, as deeply personal as our journey with Alzheimer’s. We want to foster a sense of hope, empathy, and understanding in our audiences. We hope viewers will be inspired to improve their brain health, support caregivers, and advocate for a future centered on dementia prevention, treatment, and support. The time to take care is now,” the Rogens shared.

This gathering continues a series of documentary screenings that EBPC (www.ebpctn.org) has offered over the past few years as a way to both inform and engage the community around difficult topics affecting individuals and families across all demographics. To register, go Here.

Dinner will be served on a first-come basis from 5:00 to 5:30 PM, followed by a screening of “Taking Care” and a community discussion around the topic of Alzheimer’s. For more information, please contact Leticia Tyler, EBPC’s Coordinator of Community Engagement, Service and
Mission at ltyler@ebpctn.org.
