Perenn Bakery is set to officially open its doors on May 24, 2025, at 94 E. Main Street.

About Perenn Bakery

Founded by Culinary Institute of America graduates Aubrey and Tyler O’Laskey, Perenn Bakery is built on a passion for craftsmanship, fresh ingredients, and community connection. The couple’s extensive culinary background is reflected in every item they create, from slow-fermented breads to distinctive pastries.

Their philosophy emphasizes using local farm-sourced ingredients, minimizing food waste, and creating welcoming, family-friendly spaces where guests can truly slow down and enjoy.

What to Expect

Perenn’s new space in Franklin will bring together elements of a café, neighborhood bakery, and market. The menu will include freshly baked goods, artisinal breads, market-fresh breakfast items, and specialty coffee. Known for their naturally fermented sourdough with its rich flavor and crisp crust, Perenn also offers buttery croissants, the popular Vanilla Crème Brulee Kouign Amann, and seasonal treats made with simple, high-quality ingredients.

A New Home in Franklin

Perenn’s Franklin location will reflect the bakery’s signature style while honoring the city’s history. Located in the historic Boat House along the Harpeth River, the design will blend artisan craftsmanship with nods to Franklin’s rich heritage. The space is being designed to feel warm, inviting, and perfect for gathering, whether for a quick coffee, a leisurely breakfast, or a relaxed afternoon catch-up.

Expansion Beyond Franklin

Perenn’s expansion into Tennessee also includes a new location in Nashville’s Oak Barrel Building on Sidco Drive. The Nashville site will house the brand’s central baking operations, offering visitors a unique opportunity to watch the bread and pastries being made from start to finish. A seating area above the bakery will allow guests to sip coffee while taking in the action below.
