Franklin’s culinary scene is getting a flavorful addition with the arrival of Perenn Bakery, a Nevada-based bakery expanding to Tennessee. Known for handcrafted breads, croissants, and pastries, Perenn Bakery is set to open its doors in Spring 2025 at 94 E. Main Street in downtown Franklin.
Founded by Culinary Institute of America graduates Aubrey and Tyler O’Laskey, Perenn combines the couple’s extensive culinary education and innovative approach to food. The bakery’s focus on using fresh ingredients from local farms, minimizing waste, and creating family-friendly spaces reflects its deep commitment to the communities it serves.
At the heart of Perenn’s offerings is their expertly crafted bread. Their organic, naturally leavened sourdough, known for its depth of flavor and perfect crust, has become a favorite in Nevada. In addition to their sourdough, Perenn is celebrated for its Vanilla Crème Brulee Kouign Amann and its handmade croissants, which have become a local staple.
Perenn’s expansion to Tennessee also includes a Nashville location in the Oak Barrel Building on Sidco Drive, which will serve as the heart of their baking operations. Here, customers will have the opportunity to watch as the bread and pastries are crafted from start to finish.
