Bridges and Backroads (Jan. 19)

The Bridges & Backroads Tour features individual sets from Grammy winner Billy Dean, and Grammy nominated artists John Ford Coley and Tom Wurth. These accredited artists will be showcasing a range of genres with new and old hits on Jan. 19th. Their passion for music and unique personalities will keep you engaged throughout their performances! 

 

Friends of The Brentwood Library Book Sale (Jan. 20-22)

The Friends of the Brentwood Library is a non-profit organization committed to serving our community through the library, and they are holding a book sale this weekend, from January 20-22! The book sale kicks off on Thursday with a member’s only shopping day and continues Friday-Sunday with the sale open to the public! Featuring a large range of genres and variety, you are sure to find your new favorite story at the Friends of the Brentwood Library Book Sale! 

 

The Franklin Farmers Market (Jan. 21)

You can find The Franklin Farmers Market behind The Factory every Saturday morning from 9 a.m.- 12 p.m.! This recurring local event hosts numerous vendors selling not only fresh produce and baked goods, but also handcrafted items and local art! The Franklin Farmers Market proves the importance of contributing to your community and offers the perfect opportunity to support your local farmers, kitchens, and artisans!

 

Generation Down (Jan. 21)

The Mockingbird Theater is hosting a night of music this Saturday with a few local rock bands! Generation Down will be headlining the show, celebrating their first time releasing new music and performing since 2009. Opening acts include Nashville-based bands The Great Affairs and Blackwood. Support your local music scene and check out this show at the Mockingbird Theater! 

 

Sunday Swing Series (Jan. 22)

The Williamson County Performing Arts Center will be hosting a Sunday Swing on January 22nd! Grab a partner and put on your dancing shoes to check out their crash course swing class at 2:30 p.m. before hitting the dance floor with Middle Tennessee’s 5 Points Swing band from 3 p.m.- 5 p.m.! 

 

Act Too Performances (Jan. 21-22)

Act Too Players School of Music and Theater creates an empowering and empathetic environment for kids and teenagers to experience and exceed in the world of performing arts. January is a big month of performances for Act Too Players, so make sure to check out their end-of-semester showcases at The Franklin Theatre! This week, you can find productions of Cinderella and RENT. 

Cinderella: Rodgers & Hammerstein’s adaptation of Cinderella is geared towards younger performers and tells the classic tale of Cinderella, her wicked stepmother, Fairy Godmother, and Prince Charming! This production is rated G and will be performed at The Franklin Theatre on Jan. 21 at 2 p.m. and Jan. 22 at 7 p.m.! 

RENT: The High School Edition of RENT keeps the original musical’s main focus of finding yourself and living in the moment. This coming-of-age story has won a Pulitzer Prize and a Tony Award. The production is rated PG-13 and will be shown at The Franklin Theatre on Jan. 21 at 7 p.m. and Jan. 22 at 2 p.m.!
