The National Anthem Musical: A Comedic Take on Francis Scott Key at The Mockingbird Theater

About the Town Productions in support of the Tennessee American Legion presents, The National Anthem Musical – a new one-man musical comedy about the fascinating American who wrote “The Star-Spangled Banner.” Francis Scott Key’s unwavering and sometimes unorthodox opinions on social matters as well as his unique and often unappreciated relationship with poetry is showcased in this 90-minute mix of lyrics and laughs. You’ll snicker in your knickers and cackle in your cloak as you discover more about the man whose name we all know…but whose history is a mystery.

Wally Nason, writer/composer, is the most prolific writer of performed musicals in the US having written and directed 20 musicals since 2009. His name is synonymous with family-friendly musicals. You can also see his musical, The Confession, featuring Chonda Pierce and John Schneider, on Amazon Prime and GAITHER TV+.

The National Anthem Musical will be playing at The Mockingbird Theater at the Franklin Factory November 20-21, 2024. Go to www.AboutTheTownProductions.com for tickets!
