If you recently visited The Factory at Franklin and noticed new parking signs and QR codes in the front lot, here’s what you need to know: all parking at The Factory is free.

In an August 22, 2026, post on its Facebook page, The Factory announced that it was ending the short-term parking setup after hearing feedback from visitors and tenants.

The 70-space section was located at the front of the complex along Franklin Road, near the new Anthropologie, Anthropologie Weddings and Terrain spaces.

“We’ve heard you,” The Factory said in the post. “The pilot section is being reconfigured, and the short-term signs have been removed.”

What Was the Short-Term Parking Pilot?

The short-term parking area was introduced in mid-August, with signs directing drivers to register their vehicles via QR codes. The new setup quickly raised questions about whether The Factory had begun charging for parking.

The Factory later described it as a two-hour, time-limited parking zone rather than paid parking. The idea was to keep some of the spaces closest to the buildings available for visitors making quick, one- or two-stop visits instead of having them occupied for much of the day.

Around the same time, The Factory also offered $5 Uber vouchers during the opening weekend of the new Anthropologie location.

The Factory Changes Course

After hearing feedback about the new parking arrangement, The Factory said it would reconsider its approach.

“We’re taking this as a chance to rethink the best long-term approach to short-term convenience parking,” The Factory said in its August 22 post. “We genuinely appreciate your input.”

The Factory also confirmed that all parking on the campus is now free, including 75 additional spaces it said were added recently near the Carousel of Dreams.

More Parking Is Planned at The Factory

The Factory said it is continuing to work on increasing parking capacity across the campus. That includes a new parking garage planned as part of the property’s ongoing redevelopment, which also includes a 120-room boutique hotel.

In its August 22 Facebook post, The Factory also encouraged visitors to share feedback about parking by emailing frontdesk@factoryatfranklin.com.

“Our goal remains simple: a welcoming, convenient experience for everyone who visits The Factory at Franklin,” the post said.

For now, parking remains free throughout The Factory at Franklin.
