Senior Activities and Programs Offered at Local Recreation Facilities
The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department (WCPR) hosts a variety of programs at recreation centers across Williamson County for seniors of all ages and activity levels including art, fitness, nature and sport programs.
In June, several additional senior sport programs will be held, including a Senior Olympic Practice Day on Wednesday, June 16 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Academy Park Gym, 120 Everbright Ave., in Franklin, TN; and a Senior Day Hike at Sarah Benson Park in Thompson’s Station on Wednesday, June 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Senior lounge hours continue at facilities in Fairview and Franklin, TN; plus monthly bingo events and movie matinees; art studio sessions; yarn club; dulcimer dandies; Wii bowling and much, much more.
