Presenting Robinson Crusoe…

The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department and Missoula Children’s Theatre are busy preparing for a new theater production! “Robinson Crusoe”, an adaptation of the classic adventure tale, will hit the stage on Saturday, September 22^nd with a 2:00 p.m. matinee and 7:00 p.m. evening performance. (location to be announced) 

 

Auditions will be held at the Franklin Recreation Complex on Monday, September 17^th, promptly beginning at 4:00 p.m. and continuing until 6:00 p.m. Children wishing to audition should arrive by the scheduled starting time and plan to stay for the entire 2 hour schedule. There are roles for students of all ages, kindergarten through 12^th grade, and approximately 50 to 60 local children will be cast. No advance preparation or resumes are needed. Some cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the auditions.

  

“Robinson Crusoe” rehearsals will be conducted on Tuesday, September 18^th through Friday, September 21^st from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  (location to be announced) Although not all cast members will be needed at every session, those auditioning must have a clear schedule for the entire week if selected and be able to attend all rehearsals required for their role. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed at the conclusion of the auditions. Cast members scheduled for the full 4½ hours of rehearsal will be asked to bring a sack dinner for the break from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.                           

Tickets to both performances will be sold at the Franklin Recreation Complex beginning on Tuesday, September 18^th and cost $5.00 each with children under age 3 admitted free. Tickets may also be purchased at the door prior to performances.
