One Year Later: Edley’s Says “Thank ‘Que” to Nashville Tornado First Responders & Resilient Community
A year after the historic March 2020 tornado, Edley’s Bar-B-Que is honoring the tireless efforts of Nashville’s resilient residents and essential first responders with a celebration of the community on Wednesday, March 3 at its East Nashville location. The Edley’s team is saying “Thank ‘Que” to everyone – from neighbors down the street, to the city’s utility crews, fire fighters, law enforcement, electric workers and more – in the best way they know how: through a free Edley’s pork sandwich.
“While our East Nashville location was hit hard last year, many of our neighbors weren’t as fortunate and are still deep in the rebuilding process,” says Edley’s Founder & CEO Will Newman. “This is certainly a somber week for Nashville, on top of a very difficult year, but it’s important to remember and be proud of how our entire community came together as one to get friends and neighbors back on their feet, and none of that would have been possible without our first responder community and neighbors who were eager to lend a hand.”
In addition to handing out free pork sandwiches, Edley’s will be raising money though onsite donations (cash or card) for the Tennessee Action for Hospitality and the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.
The event takes place Wednesday, March 3, 2021, 11 a.m.–5 p.m at Edley’s Bar-B-Que East Nashville, 908 Main Street, Nashville, TN 37206
