Kids ages 7 to 12 can build self esteem in this drawing class. Students will learn basic techniques such as perspective and shading by drawing animals and flowers. Girls who love American Girl dolls will love making a polar fleece jumper for their doll’s wardrobe. Learn to machine sew this cozy outfit on Saturday, January 9, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The class is for ages nine and older. Make a fun bag and learn to use a sewing machine at the same time in this class for ages 9 and older. The bag can be used for a cell phone, ipod, jewelry, makeup and more. Participants will also learn to make decorative stitches on the bag. Moms and preschoolers (ages 3 to 6) will have fun working together on crafts in the Mommy and Me Preschool Art class. Each class will have several projects to choose from including one teacher-directed project. The projects for January are a footprint snowman, special decoupage box and a mosaic flower pot. Mom and Me Preschool Art will meet on Fridays, January 15-29. Two class times are available: 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. or 11 a.m. to noon. Preschool art teacher Cindy Hester presents a new art only class on Mondays and Wednesdays, January 11-27 (skip 1/18) from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. For children ages 3 to 6 (must be potty trained).
