Natchez High School class of 1967 aims to support community youth
The last class to graduate from Natchez High School – now Claiborne and Hughes Health Center – will soon be planning its 50th reunion. Some of the graduates have remained life-long friends, and the class of 1967 was like a family. Although they were invited to attend Franklin High, “Most of the class decided to stay at Natchez,” said class of 1967 member Clark Prince.
Last year, seven members of the class of 1967, now retired but with plenty of energy, formed a men’s group that represented their class with a mission to keep the memory of Natchez High School alive, to help the community and to be role models to the youth.
They had been approached by other local African-American organizations to join them, but they wanted something unique.
