Leiper’s Fork Distillery Celebrates International Tennessee Whiskey Day on May 21
Leiper’s Fork Distillery will celebrate International Tennessee Whiskey Day on May 21st with specials and tours that highlight the history, craftsmanship, and local roots behind Tennessee whiskey.
The family-owned distillery will offer half-priced Tennessee whiskey pours throughout the day. Guests with a Tennessee driver’s license can also take part in complimentary tours on a first-come, first-served basis. Tours will run every hour on the hour from 11 am to 4 pm.
Located at 3381 Southall Rd in Franklin, on 27 scenic acres just outside the historic village of Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee, the distillery is known for its traditional approach to small-batch whiskey production. Founded in 2016, Leiper’s Fork Distillery was created to help revive authentic Tennessee whiskey-making in Williamson County. Every bottle is mashed, fermented, distilled, aged, and bottled onsite using local grains, pot still distillation, and time-honored methods.
Tours give guests a behind-the-scenes look at the working stillhouse, including the distillery’s 500-gallon Scottish-style swan neck potbellied copper still. The experience continues with a guided tasting inside the property’s restored 200-year-old log cabin, which now serves as the tasting room and gift shop.
Beyond the distillery property, Leiper’s Fork Distillery also operates House of Spirits in downtown Franklin. The intimate Main Street location offers crafted spirits, cocktails, Southern-inspired lunch and dinner, beer selections, live entertainment, and private event space.
The brand is also expanding to Nashville Yards, with a new Leiper’s Fork Distillery destination expected to open in fall 2026. Plans for the Nashville location include a full-service bar and restaurant, guided tours and tastings, a distillation program, private dining, live entertainment, and retail offerings.
For those looking to mark International Tennessee Whiskey Day locally, Leiper’s Fork Distillery’s May 21st celebration offers a chance to sip Tennessee whiskey, explore the distilling process, and learn more about one of Williamson County’s homegrown whiskey makers.
