Franklin Wine Festival
This year marks the Third Annual Franklin Wine Festival set for October 26, presented by Cool Springs Wine and Spirits and supported by Nissan. This year there will also be two Vintner Dinners in September, modeled after the famous New Orleans Wine and Food Experience, boasting fine wines and dining. Proceeds will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee, whose missions is “to make a positive difference in the lives of children in need and to assist them in achieving their highest potential by facilitating a professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationship with a committed volunteer.”
The Franklin Wine Festival Grand Tasting begins at 7 p.m. at The Factory at Franklin. Guests can indulge in delicious cuisine from Middle Tennessee’s finest chefs and over 300 wines from around the world to sample. In addition there will be a silent auction including a variety of items and gift packages from rare wines to vacation packages. “The Franklin Wine Festival committee and its sponsors are dedicated to making the 2007 festival the best yet,” says event Chair Sandy Draper. “We are excited to once again support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee, which helps change the lives of countless children in our community.”
Tickets are $75 per person and are available online at www.franklinwinefestival.com.
*Cool Springs Wines & Spirits, located at 1935 Mallory Lane in Franklin, is also offering a special 10% discount the day after the event, Saturday October 27. All wines featured at the festival will be discounted including allotted, hard-to-find and collectible wines.
