Voices for Children

May 12, 2016 @ 6:00 pm

Voices for Children Franklin TNWilliamson County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is hosting its 5th Annual “Voices for Children” fundraiser, presented by Jackson, at the Franklin Theatre on Thursday, May 12th at 8:00 PM. Cocktail Reception 6:00 PM.

The evening will benefit the local non-profit and its mission to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children within the county’s juvenile court system.

Grammy-winning songwriters Chris DeStefano and Marcus Hummons–and a few of their acclaimed musical friends–will take the stage with players from the Nashville Studio Symphony for a one-of-a-kind musical event dubbed “Music City Hit-Makers: Where Song Meets Symphony” that promises to pull out all the stops at the 300-seat venue in Historic Downtown Franklin.

By attending Voices, you are giving money that directly helps break the cycle of abuse and neglect within Williamson County families. Each dollar raised goes to CASA’s vision of providing every abused and neglected child a safe and permanent home.

Voices guests will kick off the night with a cocktail hour that includes hors d’oeuvres compliments of MStreet Nashville–the group that provides some of Nashville’s most beloved dining spots, like Kayne Prime and Virago–and wine and beer compliments of Horizon Wine and Spirits and Yazoo Brewing Company. The evening will host a live auction with prizes that include adventurous getaways, celebrity styling, music packages, and more.

Please visit The Franklin Theatre or CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) For Children for tickets and more information.

About CASA

Our Mission – Advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children.

Our Vision – Every child in a safe and permanent home.

Thousands of children are abused or neglected every day in the United States. They are the victims of people who are unable or refuse to accept the responsibilities of raising a child. And through no fault of their own, these children are cast into a complex, chaotic and uncertain environment of courtrooms and foster care. They are alone and often times they are scared.

Williamson County CASA helps children in this situation every day. Speaking on their behalf in courtrooms, identifying safe homes for them to live in and listening to their stories. And while we consider this our mission as a non-profit organization, we are dependent upon people like you for monetary and volunteer support. Helping the helpless is a responsibility we all share. How will you get involved?
