The Williamson County Public Library and the Alzheimer’s Association Tennessee Chapter kick off their Alzheimer’s and Dementia series with “Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia” presented by geriatric neuropathology and dementia expert Dr. David T. Hutchings. The program will be on Tuesday, April 25, from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Library’s Meeting Room.

Alzheimer’s is not normal aging. It is a disease of the brain that causes problems with memory, thinking, and behavior. Learn about the impact of Alzheimer’s; the difference between Alzheimer’s and dementia; Alzheimer’s disease stages and risk factors; and current research and treatments available to address some symptoms.

Alzheimer’s and Dementia programs are on the fourth Tuesday, April through September, from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Williamson County Public Library in the Meeting Room on the first floor.
