Based on the actual diary of a young Jewish girl who spent two years hiding from the Nazis, The Diary of Anne Frank is a Tony & Pulitzer Prize winning play of the highest critical acclaim. Written by Goodrich & Hackett, it has won virtually every award there is, and has deeply moved audiences for over 60 years. Seasoned director Melanie Sutton returns to Academy Park to bring this inspiring and important story to the stage. She has directed 17 shows for Franklin Christian Academy, including several here on our stage such as Steel Magnolias and 12 Angry Jurors. FCA is gaining a reputation around Williamson County for producing the highest quality student theatre. This production features several stars of last season’s hit “It’s a Wonderful Life: the Live Radio Play” right here on this stage. “The Diary of Anne Frank” promises to be another unforgettable night at the theatre.
