Free family event October 28

Parents and their kids ages 7 and younger are invited to join the staff at Timberland Park for a short nature walk and Halloween story on Friday, October 28. Choose from a morning hike at 10:00 a.m. or afternoon hike at 3:00 p.m. This event is free, but we’d like to know you are coming, so please register in advance at, event #8254. Participants should wear closed toe shoes.

Timberland Park is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Admission is free. The 72-acre park is located on the historic Natchez Trace Pkwy. just south of the famous “Trace” bridge over Hwy. 96 West and is managed by Williamson County Parks and Recreation.
