Holiday Historic Walking Tour – Franklin and The Factory – Molding the 20th Century

Family in town for the holidays? Need to get out of the house before the chaos of Thanksgiving? We’ve got just the thing!
Join our staff historian on a stroll through The Factory’s halls and learn about our industrial past, the people who worked here, and the products they made, as well as how a former stove works turned bedding manufacturing plant came to be one of Franklin’s favorite landmarks. We’ll cover 93 years of history in 50 minutes while showing you some of the shops, restaurants, and events you can enjoy today! Plus, we’ll pull back the curtain on some of the new experiences that will join us at The Factory soon!
This tour will split time between indoor and outdoor stops and will take place rain or shine. We advise you to wear comfortable walking shoes and dress accordingly for the weather.
Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in with your guide at The Skylight, located just inside the front entrance in The Grand Hall.
