Franklin 4 the Cure & Concert 4 the Cure
September 9, 2017 @ 6:30 am

Franklin 4 the Cure is a fundraising event that will take place on September 9th in the Westhaven community, located three miles west of downtown Franklin, TN.
The event will kick off on Saturday, September 9th with the Family Fun Run 5K at 7:30 AM. This 5K will wind through the beautiful landscaped streets and paved trails located in the Westhaven community.The run will conclude with a party at the finish line that will include a DJ, giveaways, sponsor booths, and tons of fun!! Bring the whole family and run, jog, or walk and enjoy a Pancake Breakfest after the race. This flat course winds through Westhaven and will be enjoyable for everyone from the serious runner to the casual walker. Kids runs will be held following the 5k. Kids activities will be held in the “Hope Street” family area after the race.

The Boy Scouts will be hosting a pancake breakfast immediately following the 5K. Everyone with a race number is allowed to enter the pancake breakfast for free. If you are not a registered participant in the 5K or children’s runs, tickets to the pancake breakfast are available for

Kids 12 & Under Fun Run Registration
The Concert 4 the Cure, featuring Jeffery Steele, will take place on Saturday, September 9th starting at 5:00 PM on the Great Lawn at the Westhaven Residents Club, located at 401 Cheltenham Avenue. Doors open at 4:30 PM. Get there early to get good seats!! Tickets are $35 for adults and $15 for children 10 and under. Beverages and food will be available for purchase. A limited number of VIP Experience tickets are available for $100 per person and include hors d’oeuvres and beverages with a premium view of the concert from the balcony.

6:30 P.M. to 7:45 P.M. Resurrection – A Journey Tribute Band
8:00 P.M. Headlining Act: Jeffrey Steele
Proceeds from both the Family Fun Run and the Concert 4 the Cure will fund discovery grants at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. Discovery grants provide seed funding for cancer researchers to pursue bold ideas in the lab that can lead to breakthrough discoveries in the fight against cancer. Findings from preliminary research supported by these grants are essential to obtain funding from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and other federal agencies that grant millions every year to support cancer research.
