We are delighted to bring the work of our gifted students to Main Street, where every piece you see coming down the runway is conceived, designed, and constructed by students who understand the power of design to transform.  The Show is a highly-anticipated event where four years of rigorous Fashion Design education culminate in an impressive showcase of collections as diverse as the student designers who create them, providing an up-close look at original work that is innovative in terms of style and technical execution.

The Juniors were challenged with creating capsules with human-centered design at the center of the process, and Seniors have been immersed in their year-long research and execution of work.  The evening will include a reveal of collections, but not limited to costume and streetwear, an androgynous collection for men and women to ready-to-wear and elegant dresses.

A design collaboration with Daybreak Arts (formerly “Poverty and the Arts”) will also be revealed.  The social enterprise nonprofit, founded by a Belmont graduate, creates artistic and economic opportunities for people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity by providing them access to the creative resources needed to achieve personal fulfillment and success.  Twelve students are collaborating with the artists and will be creating garments inspired by their works of art that will also raise awareness and funds for Daybreak Arts.
