Battle of Nashville Bus Tour

July 9, 2016 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Battle of Nashville Bus Tour - Nashville, TNTennessee Preservation Trust – Battle of Nashville Bus Tour – Nashville, TN

Please join us July 9, 2016 for our Historic Tennessee Tours event, Battle of Nashville Bus Tour with David Currey.

On this special tour by bus, historian and documentary filmmaker (and former TPT Board Chair) David Currey will guide us through sites and stories of the Battle of Nashville. He will share the significance of the battle and how this middle Tennessee landscape has been transformed by the events of the Civil War. We will drive the forward lines as well as visit sites including Fort Negley, Grandburry’s Lunette, redoubt #1, and Peach Orchard Hill.

We are excited to have Currey lead the second event in our new Historic Tennessee Tours series. This is a unique opportunity to experience his Battle of Nashville Bus Tour, which he has offered only on a very rare occasion in the past.

The three-hour trip begins and ends at Fort Negley. The $65 ticket includes expert commentary, luxury coach transportation, a copy of our Historic Tennessee coffee table book, and one-year free membership to TPT.

The bus leaves promptly at 9am and returns at noon. Advance reservations are required as seating is limited.

If you are not familiar with Currey’s tour, I encourage you to read this article by Lipscomb student Betsy Phillips.
